An array is a collection of similar data elements that are stored in adjacent memory locations. It is the most basic data structure because each data element can be accessed directly by using only its index number. For example, if we want to store a student's grades in five subjects, we don't need to define individual variables for each subject. Instead, we can create an arra that stores the data elements in contiguous memory locations. arra marks defines a student's marks in five different subjects, with each subject's marks located at a specific location in the arra, i.e. marks denotes the marks scored in the first subject, marks one denotes the marks scored in the second subject, and so on.
Array is a collection of data that is organized into rows and columns. Arra are used to store information about genes, genomes, proteins, and other biological entities. An arra can have as many dimensions as it wants. A collection is a container for storing objects. Collections are used to store data such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and so on. A collection can contain an unlimited number of elements.
